I'm snuggled up to this little baby today!
This is a 7" Kizer Vanguard button-lock that sports a 154CM drop-point blade with dual-studs, no liners, black/white G-10 covers, and a pocket-clip. Good EDC'er displaying fast n' smooth 1-handed action!

I know of an elusive knife with Charlie Dorton & NE TN origins that would fit right in here, called a Krack-A-Jack.

The weather sucks. Giving me the winter blues. Im going to warm up with my tropical 960 and by baking some bread.
That's my Etsy store where I sell old knives and sometimes handmade knife accessories to support my knife habbit. Thanks for looking my friend.

Re: Comfort Knives!
Had a couple out today that bring me comfort and thought about this thread. After getting a picture, I decided to pull out a few more for pictures to commemorate Ol' Marco's love of the Spear Blade and bring him some comfort in the thread he created. Several will be large with a single blade and all (except for one in the first picture) will have Spear Blades. This is the first of many I will post over the next several days. Cheers Marco!

Re: Comfort Knives!
Great thread! Mine are on the left side of my home computer where I sit. I can reach most of them, but sometimes I rotate them and move them to a drawer. Today the closest one is Sunfish from Marbles, which my friend gave me for my birthday. Smooth, but not too slippery, nice round shape and weight. I really like holding it in my hands. Although my friend says that I behave like a fetishist and my wife calls me crazy. It's not in the first photo because it's in the second hand

Re: Comfort Knives!
Truth be told, Chris, I was new and looking for a thread to post my knives in but I couldn't find a suitable title from the existing one's, so due to my health situation "Comfort Knives" seemed like it would fit. Everything I stated in my OP is true, yet I still very much enjoy simply having a knife with me, in your case your pocket, in my case with me. As folks started posting their knives they seemed to feel they had to justify why their knives bring them comfort, which isn't necessary just as long as you enjoy having a knife with you at most times. You and Jerry aren't the only one's who have questioned the meaning of the thread, so I hope this clears things up for ya'll!royal0014 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 2:10 pmMe too Mr Marine, me too.jerryd6818 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 2:22 pm OK, that pretty much explains it. I guess I don't really have any "comfort knives". All of mine are "addictive knives".![]()
Any 'comfort' is from having a knife in my pocket when I need one . . . .![]()

Today's Comfort Knives.
20250209_152107.jpg
Single blade spear-points, my kinda knives!
I'm addicted to autos, so if you have anymore please post those along with any others you'd like!
I'll say this again, guys, we're really only here to simply show-off our beautiful knives, so please don't feel compelled to explain why your knives bring you comfort, after-all, it was just a title for a new thread when I was new here, and chosen cuz I couldn't come up with anything else! In some posts it seems like the poster feels obligated to explain why their knife brings comfort to their lives, but such disclaimers are not necessary. Try looking at it like, this thread is the same as "Mail Call" or "What are you Carrying Today", except from an indoors point of view!

Re: Comfort Knives!
Now that's the spirit that was intended for this thread, not anything specific but more of an overall good feeling just being close to your knives, and for the reasons you stated, D.S, well put!desert.snake wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2025 12:32 pm Great thread! I sure like your big fat Marbles, and it goes well below the skinny little trapper, great comparison picture!

Awright, after all my yapping, guess why I posted these knives!
If you guessed it was cuz I derive comfort from viewing them...! A pair of Parker single spear blade canoes with gnarly stag on both!

Marco I dig that Parker. I've got a few Parkers in the mail headed my way. Until then here's something with twice as many blades as yours.
