Gonna be a busy week coming up, so these will be the last Comfort Spears for four knife Friday, with a big ol' single blade Spear for Marco!
Hope I haven't hijacked the thread too much the past couple weeks, and thanks again for all the positive comments. ::handshake::

Smashed it again, Kevin, I have the Ka-Bar version of your big ole' coke-bottle with a spear mind you, and it's a favorite for getting comfy with! ::nod::

And JFYI, my friend, you did the exact opposite of hijacking this thread, on the contrary., you sparked some much needed energy back into it with your delightful showings, in fact, I would say your posts are the epitome of the comfort knife idea, and I thank you for that! ::handshake::
Go and attend to your business, buddy, but please don't make yourself a stranger cuz I miss you already! :(

Thanks Marco! ::handshake:: You guys have been great, and I got a bunch of new stuff today with a couple more spears at a local gun & knife show that had several knife vendors. Maybe I can get some of them posted in a couple of weeks.
Take care fellas. ::handshake::

Those handles are also prone to cracking ! Yours are Not cracked . So as a collector I would put this knife away if it were mine . That composite faux stag is not the prettiest but you have a nice stock older knife . Once you take those off it’ll never be stock again .
Put the Antler on something else if you have an urge to work with it and sell me that old Sword brand, lol.
That’s my feedback my friend .

Well that's two votes for original from you and Marco.
Two votes for stag it from Rev and I ::shrug::
Split vote down party lines between collectors and mechanics.
I'll shelve it for a while I guess. I have this one to consider instead ::hmm::
A Union Cut Co. that I found at a thrift store for 2 bucks. Has a broken scale on one side. Carrying it out into the world today as I contemplate its fate. I could replace just the one side with wood or both with antler. Or patch with something.

That's a nice HOK, Zach, can't wait to see it after you mod it. I was going to suggest that you might want to replace the front cover as well, cuz what now looks to be an EZO directly across from the shield, I originally thought was damage, in fact it isn't damage. I assume I have this right, cuz if it is an EZO it doesn't line up with the nail-nic at all, or am I missing something? ::shrug::

P.P. - I vote "both with antler"!

I'm not sure how much pull kitchen knives will ever have in determining Pee-Wee's status as someone worthy enough to hang with, but in this instance it's a negative, so, 'nuff said!

This knife is a 9" open slip-joint and was handmade by renowned English maker Graham Clayton dba Digby Knives. It features a SS heavily file-worked spear-point blade that includes a nail-nick, NS bolster and wraparound inserts, even heavier intricately designed file-work on the spine, thick brass liners, and some of the firiest MOP these eyes have seen. Held together with brass pins on it's beautiful gunstock body.
How many times have ya'll read about my dislike for file-work, well let me tell you, the work that was done on this knife goes beyond what I have previously seen and looks great, it may convert me.
Walks and talks incredibly smoothly with a half-stop, and arrived in pristine condition.
Comfortable weight of about 6 oz.'s, and came dull so I could sharpen it to my satisfaction.
I have decided to focus on only high-end knives to accumulate, and stop buying any mid-road and/or cheapos, and I started with this one. I have enough of the stuff we post everyday, so I can continue with those and concentrate my buying to models like this today. At least that's the plan!
I paid-up a bit on this beauty, but Rob C./Knives Worth Using helped me out by accepting an offer, thanks again, Rob! ::handshake:: Rob has other Claytons and many others you might want to view in his store.

Thanks, Tony, it might remind you of a Parker, but it's waaay at the other end of the quality scale, but I certainly see the resemblance. This is one that definitely needs to be held and scrutinize in person to fully appreciate it. ::nod::

My picture is my hand holding a knife with the emphasis being on the KNIFE, my hand is simply "there", whereas Pee-Wee's picture is of Pee-Wee holding a knife with the emphasis on PEE-WEE, the knife is simply "there", correct? ::hmm::
