KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY

I guess this would be the place to post this. Its USA made but that's all I can tell. Maybe someone can tell me the brand. It was in a box of junk knives I had laying around. It's inexpensive buy the way it was made. But I fixed it today repining the blades to take all the play out cleaned out all the rust on the metal liners and put it back together. It has great snap, and the carbon blades hold a great edge. Just wanted to know who made it. So, to me it's a great knife find for today.

Any help to identify the maker would be appreciated.

Can anyone tell me if this is knife is gassing ? Or has gassed ? Buck creek Indian head. Other side is perfect but this side worried me. Been that way since before it was purchased and hasn’t got worse but still curious

I would say yes, pretty much without question. Keep it away from other knives.

Is gassing. Might be causing extra corrosion. Blades and bolsters look to be suffering a bit from it.

Though I am far from an expert on the subject, from the discoloration on both the scale and the blades on that side of the knife, I would say yes.

I would say yes, pretty much without question. Keep it away from other knives.

It seems like many dealers have the popular brands priced 2 or 3 times their actual value. Then the no name or lesser known brands are almost a give away.

Which Western, the bird and trout or the lockback? Local fea markets have never produced good finds for me. Neither have garage sales. knives I want are scarce in thrift stores but I do find them about once a year. Gun shows are more productive. They just require a very long drive that negates the savings from buying only one knife at a good price. Speaking of buying knives, I tried to send a PM to your user handle and got a message that wrote the recipent does not exist. What went wrong?

My latest purchase. Found it at a reasonable price on Etsy. Complete in the original box with the knife, coin, unused Warranty Registration card and the 2 year Warranty card with a short bio of Buffalo Bill on the back. Everything is in good condition but the bolsters could stand cleaning.I was surprised because prices there are often ridiculous.

1976 Queen #1, Joy Manufacturing Customer Service Center.

Cost: a Case Barlow in user condition of about the same age (1974, I think)

WH Morley "Clover Brand" Straight Razor. Officially the first razor I own, not counting great-Granddad's Clauss that was passed down to me.

Traded a couple older, but heavily worn Hot Wheels cars (both Redlines, however) for it.
