I acquired a beautiful pipe tomahawk recently at a Bruce Voyles auction. It is a collaboration between Mark Williams (Williams Forge) and Chuck Burrows (Wild Rose Trading Co.) and was completed about 2004. Both gentlemen (now deceased) were well known on Blade Forums but not so much here on AAPK.
I've tracked down quite a bit of information about the hawk build from other forums but I haven't found much info about Mark Williams himself. My BF inquiry about Williams has gone unanswered. I'm hoping someone here knows of Williams and his work. I learned his Williams Forge was in Virginia but don't know where; does anyone recall what town he was in?
Anything anyone cares to tell me about Mark and his life and work would be most welcome. Either post it here or email me for a back and forth exchange. I will add whatever information I gather to the background I am compiling on this specific tomahawk and on Mark Williams and Chuck Burrows and their work. Thank you!

Pipe Tomahawk (Seeking Information)
Re: Pipe Tomahawk (Seeking Information)
Fabulous hawk and the bead work is pretty awesome as well.
Re: Pipe Tomahawk (Seeking Information)
Thank you doglegg. The information on the construction process that I've gleaned from 20-year old "work in progress" posts on other forums reveals what a remarkable piece it is. I don't think it is an exaggeration to call it museum quality. It was a 2-3 year process from the forging of the head to when it was first offered for sale in 2004.Fabulous hawk and the bead work is pretty awesome as well.
When I've compiled everything I can on the piece I'll post the full story and include some closeups of the workmanship.
