Too good not to share!

Post by BigAl62 »

OK, I was browsing for knives on the bay when I stumbled upon this one. I apologize if I broke any rules here but this was too good not to share. I think I redacted all incriminating evidence. Read the ad title closely. . .

The spelling error in the description is a minor problem. This is a Bernie Madoff level scam. Over 100 years old? 100 months, maybe. Marine military knife? Not like any KaBar I’ve ever seen. And, it’s not even in “immaculate” condition. But as Dennis Miller used to say, “Of course, that’s just my opinion, I could be wrong.”

Oh, I certainly agree with your concerns about the levels to which some Bay sellers will stoop. I think sometimes it's intentional and sometimes it's just ignorance. But I went back and looked at the offer on the bay and noticed that it is in one cart this morning. Part of the problem is that people seem to keep buying. There's truth to P.T. Thanks! No need to redact, it's in the public domain. 😉

Here she be, you can have it delivered by Friday.

::hmm:: ....My understanding is that it can be traced back through provenance to Hillary Clinton as the original owner .... ::paranoid::

I put this in my watchlist for fun. It dropped to $300. . . $250. . . then $200. . . and finally hit $150. "Emasclate" changed to "immaculate" at some point because when it either sold or was pulled last Friday, it was in immaculate condition for $150. Fun while it lasted but it's no longer available.
