Keen Kutter question
Keen Kutter knife measures 4 7/8” closed and appears to look like a war time pilot knife. Any information on this knife would be helpful.
Thanks

Per the description in my Keen Kutter catalog.....
"K5008 Hunting and camping knife, black fiber handle, 4 7/8 inches,
1 spear blade and 1 combination bottle decapper and can opener,
steel bolster, copper shackle, 1917 thru 1920."
For future reference, you should post it here also:

I’ve always wondered why they used brass for the bail. Everything else is steel. A lot of old sailors knives have that feature.

You’re right. I don’t know why I said brass.

Re: Keen Kutter question
It just made me wonder why they used copper instead of steel like the rest of the knife.
