Val Kilmer (actor) R.I.P.

If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

Val Kilmer (actor) R.I.P.

Post by PringleTree »

Actor Val Kilmer, "Iceman" in the Top Gun movies, Jim Morrison in "The Doors" biopic, and Doc Holliday in the Tombstone movie, died yesterday of pneumonia, age 65. He had fought throat cancer since 2014.

I saw this earlier today. There was a biopic on Netflix(?) maybe last year or 2023 about his declining health, my wife and I hoped he could overcome his health issues. We both loved all of his movies, including Top Secret.

Known for going the extra mile to get it right in his character depictions as an actor. Tombstone is worth watching for his Doc Holliday alone, even though it’s overall a great movie. He is Jim Morrison in The Doors, including his singing - it’s a wierd movie, but Jim Morrison was a wierd dude. I don’t care to watch that again (I couldn’t watch it all the first time), but I’ve got Tombstone on DVD. ::tu::
