Re: DO YOU........................CANOE ?
I found a green one and a couple more as well. And it appears had I oriented the colors correctly I would have covered St. Paddy's(green) and Black History Month(red, black, green-the Afro-American Flag, created in 1920 by members of UNIA with the help of Marcus Garvey)

A fine showing of German canoes Bill!!
I have a couple from Frank Buster as well. I'm not sure when they were made, I haven't tried to date them yet.

Re: DO YOU........................CANOE ?
Charlie, thanks for the kind words. And, that’s two fine Roosters you’ve got there.
“… And now, the end is near
And so I face the final curtain
My friend, I'll say it clear
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain
I've lived a life that's full
I traveled each and every highway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way.”
“My Way” by Frank Sinatra
That’s the last of my canoe collection. Looking forward to seeing what others have got.

Believe it or not, I fretted over the proper way to spell "Canittler" so much I had to do a search in this thread to see if I was the only one who felt the Canal Street spelling was incorrectQuick Steel wrote: ↑Sun Feb 03, 2019 5:35 pm Do you know why I didn't use the word Canittler? Because for some peculiar reason the spelling of the word gives me fits as in- Two ns; no that can't be right. One t or two? But aren't two ls more likely? The heck with it! It shall simply be a gunboat.

Since the word is obviously a portmanteau of "Canoe" and "Whittler", it makes more sense to me to spell it with two "t"s instead of two "n"s. Apparently, that's not the way the Canal Street ad copy or label maker person feels, though

I agree, green is one of my favorite colors and I have plenty of green handled knives that stand out.buckkiller58 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 03, 2025 2:04 amyou know, I love all knives! BUT why does the color GREEN make a knife pop so damn much? just me?![]()
