A small machinists vise l made in my senior year in trade school 1961. Use it all the time on my various projects. I never really finished it.; l needed to drill the hole and install the pin that keeps the screw from pulling out of the sliding jaw.

I've got my vices.
These two vices, a woodworkers vice and a machinists vice, will mount in various ways.
I use them upright, mostly, but I've got options.

I have this little charmer that looks like I pulled it out of the Atlantic.
Previous owner used it quite a bit. I left the little wooden pieces in the jaws. They just go together.
Needs cleaning, obviously.

Ya'll are showing some really cool vises, gents, but I'm wondering how much trouble they are to drag around to all the "Vise Shows" you must attend?
Great showing of your heavy metals, guys!
