Leather worker head/round knives

Post by Rockingkj »

Had not found a thread for these leather workers knives. Handy for skiving leather. Wicked sharp. Left is a Shapleigh D/E, CS Osborne and last is unmarked. Reffered to as head knife , round knife or saddle makers knife.

You can always get more money, good old knives are hard to find.

Nature abhors a vacuum, me I hate a dull knife.

Always useful in the leather shop imo. Bugger to sharpen though . I try to keep the few I have stropped well so as not to have to sharpen often. Thanks for sharing

Quite a few years back I played around and made some round knives too. Finally dug around and found a picture.
