Case Tag sale find

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Case Tag sale find

Post by Coa878 »

Good day,

Looking for some ideas on what to do with this knife i bought seems to be a Frankenstein of a hammerhead with a blank X Changer blade. Maybe i have miss identified what these are.

Things I’ve thought about doing.

A.) fix pins, keep way it was started and sharpen the xchanger blank

B.) try to find a hammer head blade and repair

C.) drill it out and make it X changer

D.) send back to case and pay for repair.

Thank you!

I would send pics to Case and see about having it repaired if they can, I think that’s the easiest option.
