I have fallen WAY behind on listing my newest acquisitions.
I obtained these over the last few weeks:
IMG_6712.jpeg
This is my first Rapala Martinni knife. Up close it has scratches and signs of normal wear and use, but I got it for less than $10, so I thought it was a good deal.

I temporarily put it in this used gun rack that I just bought. I got it to hold my Katana, which I just got a few weeks ago. It is the largest pocket knife that I own!
IMG_6711.jpeg
The rifle is a JC Higgins .22LR semi-automatic that had belonged to my Dad, who gave it to my brother-in-law who disassembled it and couldn't repair it, who gave it to my brother for scrap metal, who in turn gave it to me. I restored it a few years ago. It makes a good varmit gun.
IMG_6766.jpeg
Then I fished this Victorinox out of the shallow end of the 'Bay this week. Someone used a grinder on the blade, but the Boy Scout imprint on the handle is still good and clear. It goes into my BSA knife collection.
Jesus is life.
Everything else is just a hobby.

Haven't seen any posts or discussions regarding Lionsteel knives, made in Italy. What is everyone's opinion/experience? I decided to take a chance on this one. 0.18 inch thick M390 steel, one piece aluminum handle, frame lock, hidden pocket clip, cool lock on frame lock.... I post a review when it arrives.

8) Unique find KJ ... looks like a heavy duty tool! I had not heard of this before, and did some research. The Skatchet was invented in 1962 by Herbert F Frisbie, then produced and offered for sale by Charter Arms in the '80s, to survivalists. ::tu::

Thanks for educating me on searches. Tried it out and it's pretty cool. Looks like Lionsteel is well thought of around here, if not discussed all that much or at least not lately. I'm looking forward to getting my first in hand.

I sorta remember when they came out. Seems in and out of production for years by different companies. Found currently offered on Amazon for about $80. Doubt there is a large number of collectors for em out there. Did not find a reference to any group convention for skatiets. lol

My find of the week. A wartime Robeson made contract knife with only a USA tang stamp. I’m pretty sweet shape for a Goodwill store find.

I gotta ask- how do you know it’s a Robeson with only a USA tang stamp please?
Thank you

I haven't seen an Army Navy store for a long time, but I found one in Southern Oregon. They had an awesome selection of knives, especially Benchmade, but they had about everything else as well. I was most impressed to find some old stock Camillus TL-29s! Three of them with the last tang stamp Camillus used, but one that had the italicized CAMILLUS with the underline, circa the 1970s. It had a couple scratches on the blade but nothing serious. It was exciting to walk into a brick-and-mortar store with a huge selection of knives and buy some old stock Camillus military knives! ::ds::

I know, right?
Four new pristine blank canvases ready for modification! I have some stag, and I think I have a couple pieces of mammoth ivory that would look good on those! ::nod::
