Thank you John. Its by Thomas Lofgren and is the best I have. I met him many years ago at a CA knife show. He was just beginning his ascent into the top ranks so I could still afford this knife.

Beautiful blade. What is the inlay? It looks expensive. Lovely wood. A winner CS.

T-dog, doglegg,

The handle is composed of malachite, stabilized birch, and fossil ivory. As I mentioned I acquired this when Tom had not yet become a dominant figure in the world of Nordic knives (Sweden.) Today, his knives are beyond my means.

Yessir....these are not very common and demand a reasonable price unless you find them at a garage sale.
I do like it. Thanks!!

Thanks, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. That's a very fancy piece of work for a faker. I have others that have lots of writing etched in the fuller in English which tells me they are made for the souvenir market. This one is a mystery. Maybe there's a Puukko expert here. O'.

Bought this EKILSTUNA-made knife in a 10 piece deal. Can't quite make out the mark. Looks like "C.V.O." surrounded by EKILSTUNA. The secondary is stamped ,"13". The frame is chased in flowers and scrolls and may have had some gold leaf work that is worn off. Pins are brass, frame is 3-1/4" x 1/4'' tall at the swell-center. It came in what looks to be an original leather slip-purse. Wondering if anyone knows the mark? Thanks J.O'.
