That’s a very nice knife. They almost never come up for sale and when they do are nearly untouchable price wise. I’ve looked at them for years. I wish I could get a SFO order of them made but that’s $$$$$.OLDE CUTLER wrote: ↑Sun Jun 01, 2025 3:27 pm Thanks. I have this Queen Oar Carver that I got from Floyd (doglegg) that should work.

This was Friday’s little project between jobs at work. No paint on this one(other than the tip of the cigar), just Watco walnut stain on the hair and cigar and Feed and Wax on the face.

That Queen for me is too nice to use. What I usually use is either X Acto knives or this 7 inch OAL Parker Japanese Whittler for my mini decoys.C-WADE7 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 01, 2025 3:40 pmThat’s a very nice knife. Latest project, a co-worker of mine. I’ve showed it to quite a few people around town, that know him but don’t work with him or see him often, and not one failed to identify him.

Re: Wood carving projects
This broken blade Hammer brand pocket knife has gotten some whittling time. I reshaped the broken blade to make it usable for carving.

@C-WADE7
That carving reminds me of Jeff Dunham's "Walter" character.

Nice work. I have yet to find a pocket whittling knife that fits my needs, so like you I’ve been modifying blade shapes and angles to suit my wants.

Thanks, the man it’s made after has a unique look, it was a fun one to do. The one I’m doing now I have re-worked 3 times trying to get it right and am having trouble. His face just doesn’t have any really defining features to work off of.

Re: Wood carving projects
Thanks guys. Did a little 3/4"x3/4" x 2 3/4" tall ball in a cage. Smallest one I've done so far.

Nice work that’s a small piece. How do you like that flex cut carving jack?

Re: Wood carving projects
Thanks. Its was a Christmas present from my daughter. I like the it mostly. It locks the blades and tools really solid. The one thing I dislike is the v tool. It's at a 45 and very awkward to use so I don't use the v tool much. If it were straight it would be really nice. I probably wouldn't buy one for myself as I think it's priced to high. And I
like my good ol pocket knives to carve with.
