Happy Fathers' Day

Post by Jeepergeo »

I hope all the dads on this forum are having a nice Father's Day.

My wife and son took me to lunch yesterday and he texted me a picture of a knife he ordered for me from Koi that won't be done until August. We celebrated early because he had to go into work today leaving at 0430. I'm so proud of him. He holds down a full time career job and a part time job he enjoys, and he can and does fix anything automotive.

I am proud of my daughter too. She lives 3 hours away, so we don't see her often, but sure enjoy it when we do. She is an award winnning elementary school teacher and has given us three grand kids.

Today, I'm picking up dad and mom and going over to my brother's place to honor dad with some BBQ.

Have a great day.

Sounds like you already had a full weekend.

Happy Father's Day to you and to all. Being a father
these days is much more difficult than previous. We
always try to do our best.

My wife and daughter took me out for steak yesterday. That was a day early but I was afraid they would run out of ribeye if we waited until today! This morning I enjoyed a walk before it got hot. The gibbous moon was very nice to see before it set, and Mississippi Kites were flying.

Now all I need is a new knife!

Happy Father's day to all of you fellows!

Szczęśliwego Dnia Ojca! Świętujemy wszystkich ojców, którzy mieli wpływ na nasze życie.

I have been intentional in growing my knife skills in the kitchen using the knives I collect, so my family honered my practice with this glove. I am not sure if it's because they support me, or are afraid I might miss. I beiever it's becasue they support my endeavor. :D

Every year on Fathers Day I take out this Uncle Henry 885-UH Stockman, handle it and oil it. I gave it to my dad on Fathers Day 1982 and received it back later from his estate. Dad was always a great one to write dates on things, and I am glad he did.

Oh I love that. I think it's so cool that you take it out and care for it. It' doesn't have to be used, it just needs to be appreciated. Well done.
