Dave Shirley Marbles

Webster Marble formed Gladstone Mfg. Co. in 1892. That company created the first folding Axe in 1893 which lead to the incorporation of Marble's Safety Axe Co. in 1898. The company became Marble Arms & Mfg. Co. in 1911 & enjoyed years of success until succumbing to a shut down of production in 1974. The brand was brought back to life in 1994 & enjoyed a grand rejuvenation that later gave way to another shutdown in 2009. Many great knives & tools were crafted over the company's storied history.

Cleaned out my Marbles source to add a few more Gladstone folders to that sub-collection today.

Traded Kevin for a few of his horde or Marbles. These are three new additions to my Marbles by Dave Shirley collection. I had to take my Marbles made in Germany out to another display case to make room for all these new additions. Here is a picture of my Marbles by Dave Shirley collection.

Great looking display, Mark! ::tu:: Looks like you may have room to squeeze a couple more small ones in there. Thanks again for the trade and glad you like the new additions. I'm working long hours all week as a semi-retired contractor ::dang:: but hope to get some pictures of my newest additions posted as soon as possible.
