Ward Master Quality made by Western
I think these Ward Master Quality were made by western, this one’s 9 1/4 in long and 5 1/4 in blade as they reference the bifurcated tang patent number…does anybody have an idea as to the approx date made? Looks like it spent its life in the drawer.

I think wards used the mater quality tang stamp from 1935 - 1950 .

Thanks ThomasG, That’s a vintage knife that looks unused. Very nice quality, pretty sure it’s made by Western.

The patent 1,967,479 was granted to Harlow Platts in 1934. The patent was for a method for attaching handles to fixed blade knives. No doubt for Western.
