How much is gas where you live?

If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

I've learned.....if it drops below $3.00 you better get gas quick bc it's going up the next day.....just like a yo-yo.
It's BS!!!
$2.97 yesterday......$3.19 today.
Couple days it'll drop below $3.00 then the next next day it $3.19 or $3.29....
Over and over....

It baffles me how the price of a pair of jeans or a can of peas will stay the same for months, but gas... ::shrug::

Oil is a commodity like soybeans, wheat, etc. affected by supply and demand, weather, geopolitics, transportation costs (is the oil from West Texas,Canada, Alaska, or Saudi Arabia or ??), refinery costs (light crude vs heavy crude, etc), commodity speculation, and so on. In other words, it’s complicated. Much more so than a pair of jeans. The Houthis haven’t bombed a tanker ship full of cotton - yet.

Filled up my wife’s car yesterday, 87 octane for $2.45. Gas Buddy app says it’s $2.44 today at that same station. It was up around $2.90 a couple weeks ago when they changed to the summer blend of gas, but it went back down fairly quick.

Filled up tank with $2.79/gal. gas yesterday in the "red state" of Missouri. I saved 56 cents a gallon by driving 1 mile and crossing the Mississippi, same gas delivered by the same trucks, but beyond the reach of JB Pritzker.

$3.88/gallon at Costco, less 5% with the Costco Executive Membership Visa Card.

California's Governor and his lacky Air Resources Board wants to raise that price by $0.47/gal to $0.65/gal in the near term and $1.85/gal by 2042.🤑

Yeah, go ahead and laugh. Just remember, Gov Newsom really, really wants to be President.😯
