Unsecure site??

Post by danno50 »

Lately when I log in to AAPK, my computer gives me a message that this is not a secure site. Just wondering if anyone else gets that message?

Haven't had that issue Dan.

Sometimes, the browser might be caching an old version of the site. Clearing your browser cache and cookies can help.

Yep, I clear my browser, cookies, cache etc on a regular basis. I also redid my bookmark. Still comes up as an insecure site. I am not really worried about it though.

I’m not sure how the browsers determine this. I have not seen it when logging in to AAPK using either Safari, DuckDuckGo, or Microsoft Edge. I have seen it, but rarely, when logging in to the Case Collector’s Club using Microsoft Edge. If I see it I just back out, re-submit the URL, and invariably it doesn’t re-appear. ::hmm:: ::shrug::

it could also be a privacy strength selection that you made or was made for you as a new default with a browser upgrade. Since it seems like it’s isolated to just you, that’s most likely the situation.

If you are using any extensions try turning them off one at a time. I was using AdBlock and it was causing various security problems, not to mention really spooky redirects.

I am using Firefox for a browser and DuckDuckGo as a search engine.

Yes could be, seems like Firefox makes changes every time it upgrades. I checked all the privacy settings and could not really see anything too change?

Checked my extensions, there were only 3 and I disabled them all.

Not sure what did it, but, I no longer get the unsecure site message. Thanks everyone for the help.
