I'm Human

Post by FRJ »

The forum has decided I'm not human.

My family members must have outed me!

I notice this on other sites as well. I have to check a box to prove I'm human. I think an extra layer of security by Cloudflare. Many sites are using this service for security. I notice the icon here.

The DDOS that AAPK and other sites just witnessed was unprecedented. The measures currently in place maybe temporary or they may be the new normal ::shrug:: time will tell ::nod:: for now our community is back together again and it feels good.

I noticed my bank and hi-bid are now using verification through Cloudflare. I just assumed this was to prevent ransomware and other hacking.

When get on (I have it where my user name and password are saved) I go to new post and read those. It will load the first one and do the I’m Human check then open the post I’m reading. I use the back button to go back to the new post list and no matter what thread or topic I choose it will go back to the first thread I looked at. I have to close out the page and reopen it and it will be fine from then on.

Yes Coley, some of our navigation techniques may be affected by the changes that are in place to prevent future interruptions. I've also gotten into the habit of clearing my browsing history which forces me to login to AAPK so that I know I'm using the most current version available. ::tu::

Well now it seems to be playing nice.

EDIT: Actually it isn't working. I can post a comment but after I do I get the "verification" which doesn't go away.

try deleting your browsing history and cookies Joe. You’ll have your login again but it should help get you closer to the way it was.

Thank you.
I see "delete cookies" at the bottom of the page but I have no idea how to delete "browsing history".

Google “delete browsing history” for whatever browser your using (Safari, Firefox, Edge, etc) and follow the steps - it’s different for every browser.

Well if this posts everything is good.
I keep getting the same thing as you John.
That being said if I go to the bottom of the first page of the forum where the list of who’s on at the present time. No bots, I’m assuming that is a good thing.
Thank you tech folks for all that you do.
