. . . Haha, it's been a minute but I can still get down and dirty with something you can find in a Wisconsin gas station beer cave. I was once known for toting 30 racks of Red Dog warning everyone that our night was about to be "uncommonly smooth"![]()

Nice pic, John! Did you buy that Natty Ice to complement the colors of the knife? If so, you succeeded.1967redrider wrote: βSun Jun 29, 2025 8:38 pm It's 5:00 somewhere! And kicking off Fourth of July week.

Schlitz Malt Liquor used to have those colors, as well. Good thing it is no longer made, or you would be ridin' the bull over that balcony!

Going for the most generic beer and knife combo photo ever. I even broke out the plain manilla background.
That's a Colonial brand knife I'm told, but as plain as I got, doesn't even have a factory edge.
So here you go, from 1995 (the beer that is)
Just saw this too so another pic "General Brewing Company" - even better.
With a lifetime of dust on the lid for authenticity.

My wife made me retire this shirt after after having, wearing, and loving it for almost 20 years. It's now a cherished shop rag. So here it is in its new home with a new blue pick bone trapper.

Peroni and pizza after Mass last night, a recently opened restaurant called Cooper's Mill close to the river. The wife is having her favorite pizza beer.

I looked that joint up, looks like an awesome area, some great looking pizza, a beautiful wife, you are definitely living the high life! As far as the beer thirty portion of the post, I am a fan of Nastro Azzurro but I gotta go with your wife's choice. I too like a nice caramely (that may not be a word) dark beer with pizza.1967redrider wrote: βSun Jul 27, 2025 3:43 pm Peroni and pizza after Mass last night, a recently opened restaurant called Cooper's Mill close to the river. Glad I'm not alone in the sentiment. Every IPA I've ever tried tasted like chemicals to me.

Re: It's Beer Thirty
There was a trend for a while to just see who could make their beer the hoppiest most bitter ipa on the market. I was not a fan of that, I need balance in my IPA with citrus and floral notes overriding the bitterness.1967redrider wrote: βTue Jul 29, 2025 2:26 amI detest IPAs, especially Cascade hops. I am, however, a fan of any lady who has a discerning taste in beers and who would have a frosty pint with pizza instead of whatever hard seltzer is in fashion
Im just chuckling that I'm talking proper beer to have with your breakfast and no one bagged on me for itWaukonda wrote: βTue Jul 29, 2025 1:12 pmI would never argue with a Sconnie about beer etiquette, and I also like hoppy with sweets.ThatWeirdKnifeGuy wrote: βTue Jul 29, 2025 2:08 amYou both are crazy.
