For a nice distraction from a couple tough weeks, I hit an antique show and found these. A Western, Boulder L28, a Western States (arched stamp) bone little double end pen, a German muskrat in nice dark bone and an unsharpened 4 line Camillus Sword Brand, near perfect condition.____Dave
Good ones, Dave, especially the Muskrat!

Dave ,does that Camillus have a 4 digit number on the pile side of the main? If so it would be a very early 4 line if
I remember correctly.
No it doesn't. The main blade has Sword Brand and the small blade has the 4 line Camillus Cutlery Co. Camillus NY USA.____Dave

Thanks Phil. The muskrat was a whopping $5. $3 for the Western pen and $15 for the L28. The Camillus was the only one that was a little more spendy at $90 and I almost walked away.____Dave
Anyone have any ideas on this ? I know it’s a case 1983 Whittler 6308. Has it been put together or a sample perhaps ? Has 2 different color handles. The main blade is normal but smaller 2 has the new grind I believe it’s called ?

Looks like that knife has been worked on. 1 side is stag for sure. If you
got it cheap, then EDC it. Can't go wrong.
Bob
p.s. The 6308 on the tang of the blade does not correspond to stag for
sure. The blade would be marked 5308 for stag material.

Thank you. That’s the conclusion I had come up with just wanted some more options on it. The blades or the handle has definitely been changed as it appears. Although I’ve seen lots of 80s era with different color handles that one is first I’ve seen stag / non stag

Picked this 1 up yesterday. 1978 trapper. Have a couple questions if anyone could help. First off there is no dots between the u.s.a . And the other thing I’m finding odd is the spacing of the 2 dots. May be common. I’m not sure , anyone have any feedback ?

Don't know how common it is, but I suspect it's probably common as I have see those same discrepancies on 1978 Case 6207 Mini Trappers as well. Curiously, my 1978 Mini-T with the wide spaced date dots has the periods in U.S.A. but the one with the close together date dots does not have any periods in USA

Interesting. It may be common. I am not sure and was just curious. Thank you for your info.
I happened to mention to the preacher today that I collected knives. So he hands me one that has been unclaimed in the lost n found for months. Says take it home. Turns out it's a Shrade Uncle Henry stockman. The stag looks fake, and there is no country of origin so I'm thinking it's Chinese. What do yall think?
To those who fought for it, freedom has a flavor the protected ones will never know.
Few nice ones today at the flea market. 1984 case xx muskrat (new grind ) - Stag German eye canoe with deer etching & a 1974 Case xx loom fixer. Pretty happy with all especially finding the loom fixer.
