Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
I found this WH Morley a few weeks back. I never have much luck at antique stores in this area...mostly no good choices or way over-priced.
However, this one was priced right at $15. Pearl all in tact, with just a little peppering on the blades. I'd do that deal all day over and over...

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
I went to a small gun show and struck out. Before we left town we did a circle to see if any rummage sales were still open and noticed one just closing up. I stopped to see if he was not quite closed and he said "I'm still here'. We started talking guns and knives. I mentioned the sunfish I bought a month ago. He said wait here and went in his house and came out with his grandpa's old knife. I offered him $50 and he said he'd be happy with that. I do have a H.Sears Tom Thumb in better condition, but I could always have a second. I looked up what I paid for the first one. It was $350 and I bought it from a friend/dealer who I've purchased many knives from in the past and always got really good prices from. Now I'm feeling a little guilty about not offering more for this one. They are both marked Prussia.____Dave

Congratulations Dave! That's a HOK for sure!
Well used and slightly abused. Looks like grandpa used it to tap on something or maybe tightening up a wobbly blade.

Got this one in from the bay today. Straight line Carl Schlieper. Has the eye logo on back tang. Prettt good shape. Few minor pepper spots. Nice one for the eye collection

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
Got excited and then disappointed yesterday. A one time community flea market nearby yesterday. When listing in the newspaper the things that would be sold there, the first thing on the list was “knives,” so I thought there may be some good old knives there. Even went and got some extra money out of the bank. Boy, was i disappointed. One guy had about 20-25 China knives - not Rough Ryder or Rosecraft kind of stuff, but the cheapest, ugly kind like you'd find in one of those t-shirt stores at the beach.

Nice!
I lose stuff way too often. I have a smaller Victorinox (Walker--previously sold as "Lumberjack") that's just blade and saw (plus the combo tool--can and bottle opener--plus small slotted screwdriver) I carry around the yard a lot. I really like that Precise.

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
I hit a couple flea markets this morning. One was a total bust, but I had some decent luck at the first one...got some good bargains.
The 51OT is pretty close to mint. The Case is a little beat up, but all there. The Utica GS is a little rough, but okay. The cell knife is unmarked, but nice. The little guy is a Boker Germany. My favorite is the Schrade KON-KAV.

I know the older 6488’s are bringing high prices right now. At least around here they are. Anyone have an estimate of value on these 2 I picked up. Both unused with box , never packed or carried. 1 is a 2005 boysenberry bone & othet is a 2006 Kentucky bluegrass bone. Thanks.

Crackin' me up dude. New meaning to the thread title. You buying that PIC with a saw from Scott inspired me to do the same, I'm glad you found it.
That's my Etsy store where I sell old knives and sometimes handmade knife accessories to support my knife habbit. Thanks for looking my friend.

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
Went to a swap meet at our local range on Saturday. First table I come too the guy has a Buck 110 (2010) vintage and a Buck 105 from 1991. Neither looked as though they had been touched with a stone. Needed to clean some glue or muck off the 105 blade other than that both knives are in very good condition. Asked the guy what the best he could do on them and he said $30 for the pair. Couldn't get the money out quick enough.
Later ran into a table with a Victorinox 2 blade with red plastic handle. The sheild is in good condition and doesn't look like it was ever sharpened but handle shows some a few scratches from being carried. He wanted a whopping $1 for it and it also went home with me to be added to my meager collection....
A good day for an ecclectic knife collector....LOL..

Awesome deals, Don.
I found this one today, I think it will hose off nicely. I'm a sucker for multitool type pocket knives.
