Another Case knife puzzle

Years ago I submitted this little folder for discussion and the few replies I got were mixed so will try again. First off pardon the quality of the photos. I bought a bunch of odds and ends in an antique mall and this was in the mix. If I recall it cost me a quarter. The main blade is marked W. R. Case & Sons. This is the only markings on any blade. Both bladed have single cut swedges and the secondary blade is a long pull match striker. Superb quality and great celluloid handles. Anyone ever see one like it before?

My humble opinion FWIW is, it’s a fake. I’ve never seen an authentic Case of any era with a dentate (match striker) pull. Not gonna say they never made one, just that I’ve never seen one. Never seen any covers like that on any older Case either for that matter. And last but not least, although the pictures of the stamp are not very clear it does not look like an authentic stamp to me. Note the rounded ends of the letters - on a knife of that purported vintage they should be crisply squared. IMO you paid about what it is worth - just like my opinion. You paid about what it is worth also!

Your assessment is appreciated. A few have questioned the stamping, and the unusual covers are head scratchers. In the box of 25 cent junk was an Elgin lady's gold pocket watch from the early 100's and a personalized Vietnam Zippo lighter. The owner must have cleaned out a junk drawer. It wasn't like there was any investigating value before putting them up for sale,

If it isn't a Case I was hoping someone had a similar knife from a different manufacturer. Make no mistake, this is a fine quality little folder. Far superior construction than most modern examples I have seen on Case's today.

The size and shape of the frame resemble a GEC 09 Esquire but that’s probably a long shot.
