I appreciate the kind words. 3 or 4 years ago, I gave up carrying knives that require using a nail nick to open the blade(s). It causes me pain in my thumb for the better part of the day.woodwalker wrote: ↑Thu Sep 11, 2025 7:24 pmYou sure are showing some fine cutlery the last few days!! I started missing those knives and for the past 2 or 3 weeks, I have been giving them another chance. Honestly, I am not sure how long it will last. I seem to be okay if I don’t sit there and open and close the blades periodically but there isn’t much fun in that. Nevertheless, I am trying to only open the blades when there is a good reason to.
If I can train myself to do that then I can carry all the nail nick knives I want to but right now that’s still in the experimental stages. I guess I’m a little kid at heart. I like to play with my knives throughout the day instead of just using them as needed like a responsible adult.

Me too Rick. I look at my EDC, open and shut it, just to hear the satisfying "thunk" of the blade when opened and closed! I just do it thru out the day! Except when my wife is around. She will day, "quit making that noise with you knife!" I got a mesquite thorn right through my shoe into the ball of my foot. If I didn't have my Leatherman with me, it would still be there
