I can be rather rough on my knives as I use them in my property management business. While my passion is antique folders, either bone of fancy celluloid. Just can't carry them often. I need a stout folder with locking blade. The TL-29 type are excessively tough, they are too bulky and unwieldy. Top that off with the blade is not locking. Bored in my garage one day I resolved to correct the problem. I pulled a TL apart, removed the screwdriver blade, one back spring, and modified the liner lock and reassembled. I now carry the below most every day. It just feels "right " in my hand. Its slimmer and lighter and quite lively in the hand.

I haven't been on this thread in a while. Y'all are carrying some good ole favorites.
I've got this new Moore Maker Trapper Jr. It has Mesquite wood and my name
lasered on the mark side. Made by Bear & Son for Moore.

Nice!
I had a Remington in Walnut (supposedly, made from scraps used in 870 stock production) that was also Bear--however, it was the smallest (3") Tiny Trapper. Gave it as a gift, and kind of miss it--as for years (coincidentally, until I got into Moore Maker as my workhorse brand), it had the best fit and finish of my entire Bear collection.
That Mesquite Mini Trapper looks like the perfect replacement!

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Nice Moore Maker there, my friend! I’m a big fan of the brand.
I had my first M.M., coupla years back now… A Large, (“Jumbo”) Trapper with a Clip and Spey, I think Camillus was making them for Moore at the time. Mine wore a shield for an AC/HVAC company, over super nice, smooth bone scales, and came with a nice presentation box for the company anniversary…. The name of the company on the badge escapes me….
But it was a beast of a Trapper. A “Jumbo” version. And I recall thinking at the time that the Moore Maker was wonderfully over built. Everything a little bigger, a little thicker, a little heavier… and the F&F was first rate.
I didn’t have any experience with MM, before that knife, but since then, a few of them have passed through my hands—-all of them have been gems.
