This is a new one. Arrived Friday and took over the #1 spot in the fixie rotation.
Glare from the photo pulls the grind marks up a bit. Clearly a “commercial” grind, but the Scandi edge is well finished and the blade shape and size cuts beautifully. I’ve always found the 12c27 Sandvick that these European makers use, Brisa, La Thiers, etc., to perform well.
I added the snake knot lanyard pull. The first lanyard I have ever used. And the first I have ever tied. Makes for an easy out of the sturdy little leather sheath that came with…

The combo? With the Mini-Maglite. The flashlight rides in the satchel I use for working with the dog. The Mini-Mag is ok, only one beam setting, durable as all get out, but EATS batteries…1967redrider wrote: ↑Mon Sep 29, 2025 1:48 pm Nice combo, Luke.![]()

Looking to upgrade the light, any suggestions? Something cheap and durable, preferably with one beam setting that is red light. Doesn’t need to strobe, but cool if it does.
