Re: Western , West cut fixed blades
$120 each delivered, and some mods as you have pointed out. Not my cup o' tea.
There used to be an eBayer who sold 100's of modified Western fixed blades in different colorful handles (teal, hot pink, lime green, etc), and people were eating them up. Not sure if he still sells them, but they were going for crazy prices.

Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Re: Western , West cut fixed blades
There were 2 eBay sellers that had large amounts of fake handled Western knives they were selling on the bay and bringing IMHO, stupid money. It might be that some of these fake handle knives are now making their way back onto the market after the original eBay sales. There are still quite a few of these Western fixed blades with mint blades and non-original handles being sold on eBay for big money but the sales have tapered off quite a bit from what they were a few years back. In nowhere in any of the sales is it mentioned that the handles are not original Western made products.
The knives can't be both mint and non-original.

I would think anyone selling on EBay with a reference point to the knife makers who went west would also mention in their description of the knife handles that they may not be factory original. At least read the knifes in the description could I guess be taken as a generalized warning ?
