858 and 885

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

858 and 885

Post by lentuk »

Could someone please post a picture of the 858 and 885 stock knives together? I have an 858 and was looking at the 885 and was wondering what the size difference may be.

The 885UH is the standard senior stockman frame size of 3 7/8 inches. And you have the 858OT so you know that.

I once had a German 3 eye bigger than an 858OT but the only other one I know of that is bigger than a 858OT was the IXL jumbos.
