Brown Bros,
W.R. Brown and his brother Emerson. Started in Little Valley NY with the help of their dad John W. Brown. Married to two different CASE women. The family was in Tidioute PA for the UNION Razor then Union Cutlery Co. then moved back to NY into Olean. That later became KABAR.. Side note KABAR wasn't about killing a bear as many believe. Andrew CASE of the Case family thought it sounded like the competition Case Bros. He was getting back at the family for not including him in some business. the Brown Bros did include him with Union.
Brown Bros knives were made by Argyle Cutlery in GERMANY. They imported razors as well, but many were made in Little Valley NY by CAT or George Korn. The brothers worked for a short time for CAT, there Uncle before starting back up in Tidioute, PA.
The Brown name was used on imports well into the 1910's.
