Colonial Executive Ruler Pocket Knife.

Colonial Knife was incorporated in 1926 by three brothers; Antonio, Domenic, & Fredrick Paolantonio. It grew to become one of the largest pocket knife manufacturers in the US during the 1960s. The company shut down in 1998, but was back into production under the Colonial Cutlery International Corporation in 2001. Colonial Cutlery International, Inc. brand is the imported line of knives and tools while the U.S.A.- made products fall under the Colonial Knife brand.

Be careful Skip, you might be accused of creating a monopoly and controlling the secondary market for Colonial Executive Rulers ::facepalm::

Yesterday morning, my visit to the post office produced this combination ruler and advertising pocket knife. It now becomes my latest example to be posted under this topic or thread. It also became the latest example to be added to my collection. It is an EXECUTIVE, two blades, one tang stamp, 3 1/2" closed, a long main blade pull, one spring, all metal, ruler, advertising, pattern or style of pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says, "EXECUTIVE (over) U.S.A." The main handle side is a ruler. It measures in 16ths of an inch and in 32nds of an inch. It also says, "MADE IN U.S.A." and "STAINLESS STEEL" The other handle side is also a ruler. It measures in millimeters (MM). The other handle side says, "LISSNER IRON & METAL CO. - CHICAGO 22, ILLINOIS" It also says, "DESIGN REG'D" and "EXECUTIVE" Overall, this is my sixth EXECUTIVE ruler pocket knife. However, it is my fifth EXECUTIVE ruler pocket knife that has advertising (one doesn't). My other five EXECUTIVE ruler pocket knives have ALL been previously posted under this topic or thread. The main blade does NOT have a half stop. The main blade does NOT have an opening snap. The main blade does have an OK closing snap. The secondary blade does NOT have a half stop. The secondary blade does NOT have an opening snap. The secondary blade does NOT have a closing snap. Overall, this pocket knife is in GOOD condition. This pocket knife did need a bit of cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

Was fortunate enough to find one of my own at a flea market this past weekend! It was in pretty rough shape and rusted all over. Proud to say I’ve restored it somewhat close to its original glory. Thanks for taking the time to check it out.
