Schrade Walden Uncle Henry "Cat Paw"
Looking for information on a Schrade Walden "Cat Paw" (?). It differs from my others of the same ilk in that it is not a liner lock. It is stamped "Schrade Walden" over "Stainless" over "N.Y. USA." It is identical in all respects to my 197UH, marked "Schrade+" over "USA 197UH", apart from Not having the liner lock , or model number. Due to the fact that there is no liner locking bar, it is thinner than the other Cat Paw. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

It may not be possible to be sure what is going on there but one likely explanation is that it is one of the thousands of "put togethers" done by the Schrade employees out of this and that in the final days before the bankruptcy sale in July of 2004.

Robbie, I have one of Both, 197UH USA with liner lock and one without a liner lock. I was wandering the same thing myself. My non liner lock is just a little slimmer than mine that does have the liner lock.
