Clip point slipjoint with Desert Ironwood Covers

Post by tknottsknives »

Hello all and thanks for looking.

Finished the first one of the new year and its headed to its new home.

Clip Point slipjoint in O1 with Desert Ironwood covers.
Pinned nickel silver shield
Nickel silver bolsters, pins and coin edged liners

The pull on this is a little heavier than what I usually make but I can sill pinch it open and has nice walk and talk (see attached video), half stop, spring lays flat in all 3 positions.
Tip is centered. Blade hand sanded to 600 grit finish.

OAL: 6.25"
Closed 3.5"
Cutting Edge: 2.3"

You can see a video of the action here: https://youtu.be/W30RsK_6O08?si=Ulc8G3pRJqW-CkUh

Comments and critiques welcome.

Thank you. I agree with you. Other than the smell when I'm working with it, its my favorite handle material.
