Man, I've gotta get some new windows for the house before next winter. We had to throw on an extra blanket the last couple of nights with the sub zero temps.

Today was shovel out the car day, supposedly the warmest day of the week. Took about an hour and the City left a nice pile of salt in the middle of the street.

When I bought this place 15 years ago, it came with one covered parking spot. Then I met my future wife, guess who gets the covered parking spot. ::mdm::

You could at least shovel your walk way.

Good evening Ike
Not sure how long it took me to understand the window joke.
Thank for making me laugh twice. Once at the joke.
Once at myself for not getting it for how long. I’m not that old to be so far behind.

Heading towards 113 degrees here, or that is the prediction. With 120 degrees predicted in some parts of the state.

I heard about that, cudgee. Wish I could send you some snow and 20 degrees F.

Speaking of snow....
Drove my wife to a Dr appointment way up on the north side of the Big Island yesterday and saw the snow on Mauna Kea. Although most people probably don't realize it, Hawaii does get snowfall at that extreme elevation (~14,000') every year in winter. In fact, the name "Mauna Kea" actually means "White Mountain". I've seen folks drive to the summit and fill their pickup beds with snow then take it down to the beach to build snowmen :D

Those structures on the summit (to the left) are the world-famous MKO observatories.

Thanks for the pictures, Q! I have read that people (ski kooks like me 🙋‍♂️) have skied the volcano under the right weather conditions. I would try it!

My sister has lived in the Kailua Kona area for sometime. My brother was out one year they drove up used the boogie board on the mountain then they took a cooler full of snow down to Otech (SP) and threw snowballs into the ocean at sunset.

Big late winter storm up here on the Northern Plains. Overnight 6.5 inches of snow and high winds. I went to a local gun show yesterday, today Interstates are closed and participants from out of town can't leave. High winds blowing snow into "white out" conditions.

Same here in NW Iowa. Started with a good dose of freezing rain around 2 AM. Not sure if it is still snowing or just blowing. When the wind is 50-60mph can’t tell. So still blizzard conditions Talked to daughter in Rochester, MN.said they had 15-19 in.
I don’t have any reason to leave the house until Tuesday so will just cook up something good and chill.
