I had this one out for a photo on another thread, so decided to slip it into the pocket for a while. It is a Hammer Brand cattle knife that I picked up cheap because one of the shell handles was gone and the other damaged. A "shell handle conversion" was done by making new brass liners and bolsters and adding ironwood handle material. These old Hammers really sharpen up to a scary sharp edge.

....and a "good pairing buddy" to you, my friend!
Hey David, I have been curious, what is that wood that you pose your knives on for pictures? That makes a really good background, and adds a lot to your posts.

It's just a well weathered board. If I think of it I'll take a pic of it tomorrow for you.

Haven't been on this thread in some time, y'all have some interesting knives.
I just love this Chicago Cutlery Stockman with a wood handle for my EDC.
The tang stamp is CHICAGO over CUTLERY over P16 USA and the shield says CHICAGO PREMIUM STOCK.
It's just one of those knives that feels right in your hand and carries well in your jean pocket.

Totin' one from another forum today. Apparently they over-ordered these in 2024, they're still available. The jigging looks off to me, surprised GEC would go this route.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Here is what I'm carrying this week. It's a 2019 GEC Northfield 86 in Stag with a blade Delete. Killer knife. I love it.
