Nice additons ::tu:: .... is that Queen handle red delrin or celluloid?

That KK saber ground is cool - hard not to like a saber ground blade 8)

Cracked ice like all celluloid scares me too Phil :wink: - but cracked ice especially when I am out on a lake ice fishing ::nod:: :lol:

The Queen is delrin near as I can figure, was made in the 90's. I think there was a set of knives Queen had handled with the red delrin, I've seen other patterns on ebay from time to time.

Has anyone else noticed how the average frame for the average Peanut has changed over the last fifty years? The old ones had a more slender profile, I would even call it skinny. Here are two older Peanuts and two newer ones. Top to bottom: Camillus, Schrade, Case, Bear.

The Case and the Bear are the newer knives, of course. As best I can tell, Case is the company that created, or popularized, the new look. Personally, I like the new shape a lot better. It looks more ... muscular?

I did not notice that, Ike.
Nice peanuts Ridgegrass and Mel. I had not noticed the difference in frame shape so much as the change in hafting, especially in Case knives. The older peanuts were hafted slimmer and closer to the liners, whereas the newer Case are more blocky, with flat edges along the liners.

Lovely pair of Queens, Dimitri, looks like a winning hand to me! ::tu::
Here are the only 3 peanuts I have left: A Utica Kutmaster, Case and a Schrade made Keen Kutter.
