Any Train Enthusiasts Out There?

If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

Thanks, gents! ::handshake::

Here's a layouts video I put together comprised of setups in 4 different halls at the show.

Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Thank you for the video John,
Hopefully you spent a bunch of knife money on trains. Pretty sure you had a good time either way. Have you gone to Strasburg rail museum and TCA museum. I enjoyed both. We went to the B&O museum also. You live in a great area to be a toy and real rail fan.

I had tickets to see AFT 250 at the B&O Museum Saturday morning and they were refunded. Apparently there was some Thomas the Train show for kids scheduled as well. ::mdm::

My advice/HO to anyone with or without kids.
Stay as far away from the Thomas days as you can.
My bride took David during the week at IRM and it was covered with a blanket.
David and I drifted out on a weekend one time it was crazy and a big Thomas toy store. I said never again. We never went back out on Thomas days.

It would be nice for you if they would combine the stop in West Chicago with a Thomas The Train exhibit!

Thanks a lot Ike,
It will be a zoo anyway. Now I’m going to have nightmares instead of Daydreams.

Yeah, I was checking that out, not quite the same route as last time but still under an hour and a half away.

West Chicago looks like a good spot for viewing. You aren't all that far from Rochelle, are you? I saw that Big Boy will be stopping there as well. I was at Rochelle Railroad Park a couple of years ago, nice, but I don't see how it could accomodate much of a crowd.

This U.P. Big Boy schedule link works great on my cellphone.

https://www.up.com/about-us/history/steam/schedule

I'm shooting for Thursday, July 9th in Altoona. It's about an hour north of Cumberland.

Looks as though all of us rail fans are going to get to see the Big Boy roll by at least. If I can stay at work long enough on the 2nd, I will see it come into West Chicago. Morning of the 3rd probably bug out of work for a bit drive to my partners house about a mile from the station to get a little closer look then go back to his house on the 4th to see it depart.

First up are streetcars and English Landing Park at Parkville, MO.

Good to see you post as Ike said

RR more cool pictures from KC.
Drive safe if you aren’t already back. Thought you said you were road tripping this time. Might be able to run into Ike along the way. You would have to go home a really northerly route to get in my direction. Of IRM is open now.
