Amber Across America (AAA) – A Fitting Tribute To Ivoryman

A much anticipated AAPK Family Member came this morning for a visit, while I was at the sewing machine.
She is a L@@ker brimming with the hospitality given by everyone in her travels!
She has a great edge and cuts like a champ. Thank you Lyle for sending her my way.
Today, I will keep her close in case I need her to cut a seam apart.

Glad to see Amber has arrived at her next destination in tip top shape That patina is looking pretty good too but unlikely to continue to develop much further with sewing duties. Which is fine, of course....it's interesting to see the many different tasks & variety of chores each caretaker finds for her to do. You're off to a good start, Tony Mahalo for the photo and keeping us updated

Gave Amber a Bad Boy ride many laps around the homestead yesterday afternoon in Tom's knife slip and a buttoned down pocket for security.
Today, we are traveling to see relatives and hunt for some knives.

Amber is on the next leg of her journey without incident. Excellent!! From WV into Tennessee she's traveling through some beautiful country.

Thanks Lyle for all of your reports I'm sure parting with Amber was "sweet sorrow". You did a fine job.

Tony, you get to enjoy Amber's company for a while now. Hope you two have a great time.

Amber's travels yesterday at church, and at the lake working on a custom houseboat enclosure today...

Thanks 'Q' and Glenn ... it is a great honor to participate in this journey! Yesterday was homestead weed eating and chainsaw day. Amber rested all day. Hurricane Helene took down some hickory and oak trees year and a half back ... perfect for cooking pig.

Went to see Mom who is 90 years young, for Mother's Day, and brought Amber along.
After the photo, I used her to trim the flowers to fit in a vase, while sharing who Brian was, and Amber's journey thus far.
Mom says we are doing a very honorable thing with this tribute.

When the last of Ivoryman’s knives were sold, Brian’s widow Cindy knew I wouldn’t take any money for helping her rehome Brian‘s Knives so instead she sent me a subscription to Harry & David ‘s 12-Month Fruit and Cheese Club. So as Amber makes her way across America, I get a friendly reminder every month that good deeds do get rewarded.
