A few recent pictures of stuff growing here on the ranch. Day lilies still going strong, oakleaf hydrangea flower panicles are just started turning pink.

Had a pine come down over night. It had been leaning since Hurricane Michael in 2018. The plentiful rain fall for the last week loosend the soil enough for it to hit the ground. Had 4 friends from the church show up around 9am, got 3-12 foot saw logs out of the driveway. The top has been sawed up into manageable pieces but will let it lay for a few days so we don't cut ruts in the yard with the tractor.
Got a couple other pictures on another device I'll post in a little while.

A couple more pictures of the mess:
Our oldest daughter asked how far did I get with the tree? Gave her the report and she responded, " You sure have some good friends!"
So very thankful for these men and the close to 50 years we've been friends! We're all members of the same little Baptist church.

This morning, between rain showers, I noticed one of Miss Joy's beautiful gladiolus was putting on a show. As long as they were in season, she kept a fresh-cut one on the window ledge in front of the kitchen sink where she had placed her name plate from secretary days.
My old, well used 77OT has also been in that same spot for many years. It is such a handy knife when doing a little "extra trim" on meat. Treefarmer

Great looking Cornflower/Bachelor Button, I think?
Is that the fence that you showed about a month ago when all those Dogwoods were blooming? Fame is fleeting.

Thank you Sir. My wife does pretty good with plants. If I plant something I say a few words over it and get the funeral out of the way.Runner 4 Knives wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2026 2:01 am Thanks Bighomer. And some beautiful hibiscus Floyd. I really like them but never had much luck with them

The old fashioned Tiger Lillies have yet to open up, but here are a few other things.......Hosta, Lillies, Mimosa, Magnolia, and the wonder of tomato blossoms forming small tomatoes practically overnight.

Looks like you have a lot going on, Ike! I’m jealous of your hostas, they're beautiful plants but never had any luck growing them here.
Picked the first ripe tomatoes, a bell pepper and a poblano pepper today. Old fashioned tiger lilies are just about done blooming for this year but the big yellow day lilies and some other yellow lily are going strong. Don't know what varieties they are - transplanted them out of the church flower beds when we were digging and dividing perennials there about 25 years ago.

You fellers are sure posting some fine pictures, I've been gone for a little over a week and the dang weeds have took over, unreal that they don't need rain to keep growing but the flowers do.
