German Toledo gentleman’s knife

What is the trick to putting the scissors back in this gentleman‘s knife they keep popping out. does anybody know the trick to getting the scissors to stay in

Thanks. I found it today in an antique store. Overall, it’s in great shape. Just can’t get the scissors to stay in.

Those have internal springs (like a lobster pattern). There may be something amiss with the spring. ::shrug::
