I mowed grass till it rain me out.
Some funny stuff goin' on here, all Spring we were getting rains on a regular basis and the storms seemed to fizzle out before they got to West Tenn. You come up and spend a week in Illinois and our last 3 or 4 forecasted rains did not materialize, but now it's raining in Tennessee? BigHomer the shaman!!!!

Classy, classic knife, Joe, I like it!
Is that one of Dowagiac's finest that you are showing alongside, maybe a jointed vamp?
Thank you, Ike. The Holley is kind of rough and tumble but they made such a neat old knife.
I love to carry them now and again.
Yes it is. It is a Heddon River Runt Spook Sinker from Dowagiac, Michigan.
With screws on the harness. 1933ish.
So glad you appreciate them.
I used to live about 15 minutes from Dowagiac, have not been to the Heddon museum there but plan to go my next trip back that way. They apparently have quite a collection of old lures on display.

Nice knives you're carrying.
Funny is right, it didn't rain in Effingham the whole week we were there and as we were loading the car to come home it started. bosses cousin in Newton said they got 4 inches.

Back at the grindstone, totin' a Hawthorne Jack for Wharncliffe Wednesday.
Man I love the Hawthornes. I think it's the high Saber grind that does it for me. However the $600 price range on the secondary market is just too rich for my blood.
To those who fought for it, freedom has a flavor the protected ones will never know.

I found this one at a much better price, just got lucky.
Nice ones, bighomer and Alan.
Going with a WWII era -45 today. I should have been totin' this one on the 6th.

"What can this strange device be?
When I touch it, it gives forth a sound.
It’s got wires that vibrate and give music.
What can this thing be that I’ve found?”

I haven't posted here for a while.....Russell 2 blade jack
Ike, I love those pork rinds, they sell them at Sheetz. Sweet Russell too.
Fried pork skins with a little heat added....a good healthy snack!
I haven't been to a Sheetz, they are gradually moving this way. I think there are now 2 or 3 locations around Detroit, I'll have to stop in next time I am that way and tell 'em Knipper sent me!

Most def! How about Buc-ee's? This one was outside of Dayton, OH. When Herb and I went to the Shenandoah Valley Knife Collectors Club show in Harrisonburg, VA, I talked him into stopping at that Buc-ee's. It was lunchtime on Good Friday. I don’t think he was impressed.
