newbie with large Marbles knife

Greetings, I need some information about a knife I have had for some time now and need to sell. I would like this to go to a collector (if it warrants it) and am not looking to make a "killing" but would also not like to give it away. It is a 12" knife , 2 line markings and is in very good condition. I would love to date it at least and/or get some more information about it. ..... Help please.

Looks like a 7" Ideal made between 1918 and WWII. From Arni Dunathan's book The Encyclopedia of Marble's Knives and Sporting Collectibles, 2005.

You're welcome. The only way to really gauge that is to put it on eBay and see what it sells for.

All suggestions of value have their limits. Ebay auction ending prices will be higher for well known sellers who have a large number of ebayers following them. A newbe with minimal positive feed back gets less. That said, searching ebay for the same item that sold at auction is a start. You also have to compare condition then adjust your expectations. The same knife in better condition sold through the AAPK store. Notice in the factory catalog and on this knife that sold here the edge is below the bottom of the tang. Yours lost so much metal to sharpening that its edge a little forward of the tang is above the bottom of its tang.
