A Working Edge

I pick up issues of most of the gun magazines at my local gun shop where they have a rack where one can take magazines or leave some of your own for others. I happened to pick up the June 2026 issue of Guns & Ammo magazine and there is an article in it written by Eric R. Poole titled "A Working Edge". In the article, which is about renown gun writer Elmer Keith, the photo shows a page from Guns & Ammo from back in the 1960s where one could sign up for a two year subscription to G & A mag for $9, and get the fixed blade knife shown FREE. The knife was designed by Gil Hibben and built to Elmer's specs by Seki in Japan. Below is a photo from the present magazine, and below that a photo of my knife which had belonged to my dad along with a page from the mag dated February 1964.
