I was given this knife and I can only make out part of the tang stamp. I’m hoping someone can help me date this knife. The only tag stamp is on the main blade and it appears to read “UK & R CO.”on the top line and all I can make out on the second line is “NY” which is under the CO. It has been suggested that this is a Misono UX and Robeson collaboration of WWII vintage. But I’m just not convinced that is correct. It’s got brass liners and what I believe is an older model can opener so I’m thinking it had to be pre-WWII. Do any of you Robeson folks have any thoughts or information on this tang stamp?
Thanks,
Chuck

Re: Odd Tang Stamp
Nothing about that knife suggests any involvement by Robeson in its manufacture.

Thank you both for your replies! I also did not see any similarities to Robeson, but my only thought was that maybe it was the R C Co. stamp and I just couldn’t make it out. But thanks to you guys I have a better understanding and a starting place! Thanks again, be safe, and happy knife hunting! Chuck
