This Parker Frost was made by Hubertus.

Those are a pair of fine knives. I have always liked Hubertus, mainly because I loved hunting when I was young and he was the saint of hunters. I do not have a single Hubertus knife so I doubly enjoy seeing them.

Thanks Mel. They are well made and enjoyable to look at also. Thanks for the info on Hubertus being the saint of hunters. I actually think the Parker is a finer knife because of the stag versus the delrin on the Hubertus.

Nice oldie GSP!! Reminds me of this one. This is a patch knife from my Buckskinning days (many moons ago). I made this from an old saw blade using a Green River Knife Works pattern as a template. I used the stock removal method with nothing but files and a small grinder. The handle is whitetail deer antler from one of my hunts. This was my first attempt at knife making. It is still holding together, takes a good edge, and performs many duties when called upon. It's kinda' ugly but then so am I.

It has character with the hammer marks still one the blade.

I made this from an old saw blade using a Green River Knife Works pattern as a template. I used the stock removal method with nothing but files and a small grinder.

Yep, the Buck 110 is a good one. I hated when I'd raid a camp site and only find junk knives. You'd be surprised how many people camp with crappy equipment. And what happened to good ol' beer??? I raid coolers now and all they have some of that White Claw crap or some twisted tea. BTW all you campers, that damn turkey bacon sucks! Bring the real thing for Pete's sake! Support your local Sasquach.

Getting the bas-relief carving on the bone, and then the engraving on the bolsters, to show up took quite a few tries. The botanical book and plant were intended to echo and complement the motifs on the knife. I think I still need to work on that.
