She was too young and too nice to leave us. Somehow, I think she'll be looking down from heaven to keep track of her multi-generations of fans.

I heard someone say yesterday that if there are angels amongst us, surely Dolly was one of them. What a wonderful way to look at life.

In my own self, I just try to love people. I try to find the God light in everybody, and I try to let mine shine extra hard when I run up against that. But I have to be careful what I say. You know, whether it’s good or bad or indifferent, I’m a pretty honest, open person. I can tell you where to put it if I don’t like where you got it. That’s when I say I often use my temper, but I seldom lose it.”

Dolly’s message of acceptance was simple. During an appearance on The View, she shared, “I just love everybody. I just try and find the God-light in people, and I try and play to that. I try not to be judgmental because I grew up very spiritual and in church; my grandfather was a preacher. So I just think that we should love each other, not try to judge, find the good in us, pray for the bad, and just accept people as they are.”

If you can get the Circle network, they are having a tribute to Dolly tonight. I'm sure it will be replayed several times.
