Thanks Ike, The owner of the property was afraid of a fire spreading so he had the trees thinned out. before that it was pretty thick with trees, very shady....

Quick Steel - that is a very cool, very effectively photographed knife. In that configuration it reminds me of a push dagger.

Well ... actually, the skull belongs to the rare Arizona Desert Sea Lion, which migrates from the Sea of Cortez* up the Colorado river and then across the sand dunes near Yuma, AZ.


*Possibly soon to be renamed "The Sea of America"
