Time for an introduction

Post by xeodguy »

I joined this forum years ago when it came up in many searches for information about unusual items I acquired - and not just pocket knives. I can barely even be called a lurker since I spend little time here, but I am planning to list a couple of things for sale so I figured I should at least give some background information about myself.
I retired from the Army in 1994 after 20 years' service. Taught JROTC for the next 17 years at 4 schools in 3 different states, now work when I want to as a substitute teacher. I have been collecting for over 50 years. I have many traditional pocket knives as well as many modern tactical knives, with a preference for Emerson knives. I like fixed blades, most Bowies or other large choppers.
I joined KnifeForums long ago, BladeForums after that, JerzeeDevil, Candlepower forums - and realized I'm not much of a flashlight geek - Microholics, and USN, where I spend most of my browsing time, along with Bernard Levine's forum on BF, so I don't spend a lot of time here: there's only so much time available. I still consider this a first-class resource, and if days were 30 hours long, I would send some of that extra time here for the sake of gaining more knowledge.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and best of luck to all!
