Schrade Copenhagen Model

Picked up a Schrade+ Copenhagen series knife today. Have gone through my knife books and many pages here on the computer but can't seem to find much on the series. If anyone has some knowledge on when this series came out and a lockback number, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Dale H.

Dale, Schrade made MANY knives with the Copenhagen logo, mostly during the early to mid 1990's. Yours sounds like an LB7. If you could post a pic I can likely narrow it down for you.

ea42, I got a new camera and am having problems uploading pics at the moment. Not so sure though that the knife is a LB7. The handle measures 3 3/4 inches and the blade is 2 5/8 inches. Does the LB7 vary in length? There is a Copenhagen medallion embedded in the handle. The handle is black, saw cut Delrin I believe. It's a solidly built knife. Dale H.

ea42 is right......Schrade did a lot of different knives with Copenhagen as well as Skoal. I have at least a dozen of each and at least 6 different models. Really gonna need a picture to help you further. If you can't post a picture...check the AAPK Stores for Schrade knives and see if you can at least see a picture of the style of the knife you have.

Sounds like it may be a 5OT or even a LB-5. Both were 3-3/4 inches closed.
I haven't seen either of those patterns in black Delrin before, but that don't mean nothin'!
Either of those would probably look good in black Delrin, especially with brass bolsters, IMO.

Thanks Dale. I'm thinking about going back to my source again this afternoon. There is an Ulster and a Sears I looked long and hard at yesterday. He handed me three boxes of knives to go thru, most of which are wore out. Dig deep though, the good ones settle at the bottom. LOL Dale H. Oh yeah, I forgot to metion the 8ot I passed on. That knife has strong snap!

By the time I dug mine out and photographed it, then got time to post the pic, 268Bull had posted his. Since I went to all that effort I'm gonna post mine anyway.

They are a rock solid feeling little lockback. Somehow mine feels a bit more substantial than the regular LB 5 I have does.

I have an LB-7 LTD that looks just like youre LB-5 Phil with a few difference:

Size...it is an LB-7
Same Copenhagen Shield
Black treated Blade
GOLD "Copenhagen/SKOAL PRO RODEO" overlay on the blade
Black Leather Sheath

thats funny bighead!!!! i quite dipping cope about 10 years ago but still love to get a whiff of somebody elses can every once in a while. snuff can that is!!!!

the four i have (frame style) are; 12ot, 33ot,194ot,8ot
they are all black sawcut delrin,gold sheild and bolsters,with blade etches. sorry i dont have a picture of them individually. ill post this display with them located in the center above the jim bowie------------brady

Only Cope I have is the same 33 posted already.
Seems the 33 and 12 along with the trapper are most common.
that LB5 do seem like a convenient size to have on hand.
