?????SCHRADE USA 877UH

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

?????SCHRADE USA 877UH

Post by ouhunter »

I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the SCHRADE USA UNCLE HENRY MUSKRAT GUT-HOOK KNIFE. Why they are hard to find? Did Schrade just not produce very many? I have found a few on fleebay and I missed out on one a few weeks ago for around $50, but the last one I did find went for around $76 + Shipping. Now there is one up for a starting bid $89.95
I just can't find any information about this knife. I collect Trappers and Muskrats. Just trying to figure out the worth and info. Appreciate any help! ::tu::

ouhunter,

The Schrade Uncle Henry 877UH Pro Skinner was only produced for 2 years in 1990 & 91. Because of the limited quantities of this rare model, Schrade collectors are willing to pay a high price to acquire the knife. This compounded with the crazy bidders on eBay drives the prices through the roof. I would suggest you look for one at knife & gun shows or even keep your eyes open here.

I purchased this 877UH from a member here at AAPK ::nod::
